The presence of Legionella bacteria was found in the premises of the Military Academy in Amadora and on Rua Gómez Freire in Lisbon, which was confirmed CM official army source.
The same source claims that the discovery took place as part of a periodic inspection carried out by the army. The use of the swimming pool at the headquarters of the Military Academy on Rua Gomes Freire in Lisbon has been suspended.
According to the army, “no clinical cases were identified among military personnel and civilian workers.”
“Thermal and chemical shock was immediately carried out at the above-mentioned facilities, and a team from the Military Veterinary Medical Unit of the Health Administration was also involved to assess the water circuits and determine possible causes. The analyzes will be repeated after the implementation of current measures,” the message says.
Remember that the Military Academy trains officers for the army and the NTC.
