The couple’s Sunday trip to the Castelo de Bode reservoir in Tomar ended in the most horrific way: the woman was beaten and raped by her husband, who, after the crimes, still managed to convince the victim to follow him in the car home. Only later did the woman manage to call for help, she was taken to the hospital and left there.
According to CMThe attack was so brutal that the woman was left with broken teeth and no eyelashes. The events took place early yesterday morning, in the morning the man was arrested by the PNP and handed over to the Leiria police, who are investigating everything that happened.
The man is suspected of domestic violence and rape and is due to appear in court on Tuesday in Santarem.
