The leader of the Spanish People’s Party (PP), Alberto Nunez Feijoo, has threatened to launch a parliamentary investigation into the affairs of the wife of the country’s Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez.
“If he thinks he has archived what happened at home, he is mistaken. If he refuses to explain again, and this is the third time, there will be a parliamentary and judicial inquiry, if necessary, into the issues he is told to respect. Your amnesty is a lie, just like your government,” Feijoo said, as quoted by the newspaper. World.
The head of the PP mentioned the decision of the government office for conflicts of interest to postpone the complaint about the rescue of Air Europa, a company with which Maria Fernandez, the wife of Pedro Sánchez, is associated.
The party leadership warned that it would extend its action to the judicial sphere to investigate an alleged conflict of interest “based on the allocation of public money” to a company that signed agreements and offered business to the wife of the government president.
