On Tuesday, the Judicial Police (PJ) arrested the alleged killer Ademir Moreno, a shoemaker who died after being attacked outside a nightclub in the town of Horta, Faial island. The 23-year-old detainee will appear before the judiciary for enforcement action.
“The crime occurred during a violent argument involving several people, during which the now-detained employee of the facility allegedly punched the victim, a 49-year-old man, causing him to lose consciousness,” the report said. PJ’s statement was sent to the editors.
Ademir Moreno, a resident of the Barreiro area, has been working on a project on this island for about three months. Early on Saturday morning, while he was at a nightclub near the Horta court, he became involved in a disturbance. According to his colleagues, when he left the premises, a large group was waiting for him, who confronted him, insulted him and attacked him. Then one of the attackers struck, causing Ademir to fall helplessly to the ground and immediately become inanimate.
The victim was treated by Faial firefighters and taken to hospital in critical condition. He was in a medically induced coma until Monday afternoon, but eventually died from his injuries.
