The passion for motorsport has people flocking from all corners of the world to see their idols at the Algarve International Circuit in Portimão for the Portuguese MotoGP Grand Prix, the second race of the season. Anticipation is high to see Portuguese Miguel Oliveira on the Algarve roller coaster. Cristina and Frederico Reis were traveling by motorcycle from Coimbra to Portimão. “We expect and believe in a good result from Miguel,” said both motorcycle enthusiasts.
Fernando and Jose Luis of Tomar believe that the fact that Falcao “knows the track could give him some advantage.” The Portuguese rider was unable to qualify directly for Q2 this Friday and finished practice in 17th place. This Saturday he will have to take the first two positions in the first quarter in order to reach the top twelve positions in Sunday’s race.
Off the tracks, the GNR has more than 200 soldiers on the roads monitoring the situation and raising awareness among motorcyclists who ride in the Algarve.
