This Monday, the day when the last meeting of the Council of Ministers of the António Costa government will take place, the new personnel reserve for the civil service is due to be published in the Diário da República. This is a contingent of thousands of citizens who must enter the civil service as needed. There have been many requests for services, from tax authorities to the health sector, including security forces and education. There are thousands of employees that the future leader led by Luis Montenegro can hire with the appropriate budget allocation. These are successful candidates who have passed a series of tests to assess knowledge and have the right, within 24 months, to all requests appearing on the State Labor Exchange, taking into account which their qualifications are adjusted. A new conscription reserve regime was approved in 2022 in order to meet the needs of the state.
