“Tell your son Angel not to come back”: Di Maria family receives death threats

Rosario police are already investigating the threat to Angel Di Maria’s family. The contents of the note left near the Funes Hills Miraflores private condominium on the outskirts of the Argentine city where the Benfica striker is based are already known.

In the case of 36-year-old Di Maria, the note was thrown from a gray car that was driving in the area at 5:30 a.m. Portugal time, 2:30 a.m. local time. Having ended his contract with Benfica and a wanted Rosario Central who want their prodigal son back, the world champion has already expressed concern about the lack of security in his hometown.

Last March, the family of Messi’s wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, was also threatened, this time with shots fired in the direction of a supermarket belonging to her chain. A note was found on the door that said: “Messi, we are waiting for you. Dzhavkin is also a drug dealer, he won’t look after you.”
