This Tuesday, Georgia finished 22nd at the 2024 European Football Championship, beating Greece 4-2 at home on penalties after 120 minutes without a goal, securing a meeting with Portugal in Group F of the final.
In Tbilisi, in the playoff finale, the Georgians made four of five shots – while the Greeks missed two of four – to seal an unprecedented qualification and face Portugal at the end of the group stage, in Gelsenkirchen, on June 26.
Georgians will also join hosts Germany, Albania, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Scotland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, France, Hungary, England, Italy, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Romania, Serbia, Switzerland and Turkey.
