The investigation into the murder of Vitor Pereira, “Tamborro”, shot dead by bursts from a Kalashnikov assault rifle in the early hours of February 10 near his home in Bairro dos Navegadores, in Talaida, Oeiras, has established that the Angolan was executed by a drug trafficking network, an international drug trade.
The connection of “Tamborro”, the nickname of the 35-year-old victim, with this organized group is not recent, and the homicide unit of the Lisbon Judicial Police is still trying to gather information to understand the Angolan’s role in the network.
Currently, the investigation is trying to understand the reasons for ordering the death of the Angolan. The crime is also very similar to a case released Tuesday in which two men were arrested and paid to kill in revenge.
In the Tamborro case, the victim was known to be involved in million-dollar international drug deals. For this reason, the joint venture believes, he will be brutally killed. The killers who filmed the murder of Vitor Pereira were paid to complete the crime. Now the joint venture is trying to bring them to Portuguese justice.
