Joao Neves had more headers and decided the game for Benfica after missing three penalties.

This Friday, champions Benfica temporarily topped the Portuguese Football League by beating Desportiva de Chaves 1-0 at home in the 27th round match.

João Neves sealed the win in the 68th minute for the Reds, who conceded two penalties, first from Di Maria in the 26th minute and then from Arthur Cabral with a double dose in the 63rd and 66th, as the first was repeated by invading defender zone.

Roger Schmidt’s team, which will travel to Alvalade in the next round, has 67 points, two more than Sporting, who have two games less, one of which they will play this Friday at Estrela da Amadora, while Desportivo de Chaves remained with 19 points.
