The victim, a Brazilian man, was talking to a woman on the street. He allegedly had a disagreement with another man, also a Brazilian, who attacked him with a bladed weapon early this Friday morning.
The victim received several stab wounds in the back and left side. Due to his injuries, he was taken to Faro Hospital, where he remains to this day.

After the crime, the attacker fled. A few hours later he was found and arrested.
The 23-year-old man was attending his first court appearance on charges of attempted murder. He will await trial in pre-trial detention.
