“A process was opened in which information was requested from the PSP,” can be read in the order of Judge Anabela Cabral Ferreira.
An attempted armed robbery ended in the death of one of the perpetrators this Monday morning in Benfica, Lisbon. The victim they attacked, presumably at random, was an elite PSP agent who was unarmed but managed to evade the pair of robbers and lead them to the house.
As soon as they entered, the policeman took his service weapon from the drawer and introduced himself as a policeman. Then, under gunpoint, he fired a precise shot into the heart of 50-year-old Amilcar Gomes Pinto, who died on the spot.
