Users aged 18 and over can now schedule the day and place to receive the seasonal covid-19 vaccine on the SNS portal, the Joint Services of the Ministry of Health (SPMS) announced this Wednesday.
Since self-scheduling began for those over 45 on January 19, there have been about 7,150 admission requests through this Wednesday, the SPMS said in a statement.
The covid-19 seasonal vaccination campaign began in September 2022 with more than 3 million doses of vaccine administered, most booster doses for the eligible population, first over 60 and then for the over 50 age group.
A booster dose is also currently available to citizens aged 18 years and over who have completed their covid-19 primary vaccination schedule and have been uninfected for less than 90 days, with the opportunity to receive a first or second booster dose.
The General Services of the Ministry of Health emphasize that “the ease of access to seasonal vaccination through the self-scheduling of the SNS 24 portal is an added value for users and aims to maintain a high vaccination rate against covid-19” in Portugal. .
