Three men aged between 18 and 22 were arrested by the GNR on suspicion of committing at least three robberies in recent weeks against students of the CESPU – Cooperativa de Ensino Superior Politécnico e Universitário – in Gandra, Paredes.
For what CM As it turned out, the “modus operandi” of the robbers was always the same. They observed the victims, who were later approached and threatened with death using bladed weapons. The suspects stole money and modern equipment such as cell phones and tablets. During the theft, they required students to provide access codes to the equipment so that electronic content could be quickly deleted.
During the investigations carried out by the PNR, three mobile phones, a tablet, a stick, 22 doses of hashish and several items of clothing used by the robbers were seized.
The trio appeared before a criminal judge in the Penafiel court on Friday afternoon, with two of the suspects placed under house arrest and the third given an identity card and residence permit.
