Ricardo Soares, a suspect in the death of Diogo Silva, who was killed in the Ramalde area, and charged with qualified murder, was heard on Tuesday by a criminal investigation judge and placed in preventive detention. Porto Judicial Police found the man early Tuesday morning in Porto and arrested him in the afternoon.
Diogo Silva, 27, was shot dead on Rua Doutor Pedro Souza in Porto. The victim was surprised by a hooded man hiding behind a wall in the vegetation with a pistol. He was shot five times: three in the head and two in the chest. The victim was accompanied by a friend who was not injured.
In February, the same suspect tried to shoot another man. The man who was shot several times was holding his one-year-old son in his arms, and it was only by chance that he was not hit.
