UAGA will mobilize on Thursday in Vitoria to demand the presence of the primary sector on the electoral agenda

He has called a rally for that day, but this Monday he went to the headquarters of all the parties to deliver his demands.

The UAGA union has demanded the presence of the primary sector on the electoral political agenda, and has announced that this coming Thursday it will mobilize again in Vitoria-Gasteiz to demand solutions to the problems of farmers and ranchers.

This organization has shown its “concern” about the fact that agriculture and livestock “They barely appear in political speechesdespite the promises of all parties to meet the demands” raised in recent months by professionals in the sector.

UAGA has announced, through a statement, that this Monday will deliver a summary of the main demands to the headquarters of all political parties which he has been raising for months to guarantee the future of the sector, so that “none of them forget the priorities” of farmers and ranchers.

In addition, this coming Thursday there will be a tractor rally in Vitoria-Gasteiz, which will end next to the farmers’ market in Plaza de Santa Bárbara, so that society and politicians “continue to keep in mind” the demands of the primary sector.

Among the union’s main proposals are the creation of an exclusive department of Agriculture and Livestock in the next Basque Government; the commitment to “not promote” wind, photovoltaic or horticultural macroprojects; develop the Food Chain Law “in its entirety” and demand its compliance; and negotiate the flexibility of European regulations to facilitate their development and processing for the primary sector.
