Police continue to investigate the case of a woman who was filmed driving her dead uncle in a wheelchair to a bank to take out a loan in Brazil.
Evidence collected by authorities provides some version of what happened.

According to G1, Erica de Souza Vieira Nunez, 42 years old, stated that her uncle, Paulo Roberto, 68 years old, was under her care and that after being discharged from the hospital, he said that he wanted to ask for a loan of 17 thousand reais. (about three thousand euros) to buy a TV and renovate the house.

Erica’s lawyer ensures that the client has a psychiatric report and is undergoing psychological treatment. Asked whether the woman might not have realized her uncle had died, the lawyer replied that she believed “she was having a seizure at the time due to the medication.”

“She has changed noticeably,” he assured.

According to G1, the driver who drove Erica and Paulo Roberto to the shopping center near the bank told police that when he arrived at the address, Erica was waiting for the car on the sidewalk. The woman asked the boy to help take the elderly man out of the house.

According to the driver, the young man and the woman’s two daughters put the elderly man into the car.

When they arrived at the shopping center, the driver said he was waiting for Erica to pick up a wheelchair for an elderly man.

The manager of the bank where the woman was filmed said that when she realized the older man was not feeling well, she asked Erica to have her uncle sign the paper before receiving the money and realized that the man was unresponsive throughout the entire process. and looked pale. Given the situation, a doctor was called.

The doctor stated that when he tried to revive Paulo Roberto, he was already dead and that the body already had the marks that usually appear two hours after death.

Bank employees said that from the moment Erica and her uncle entered the branch, they knew something was wrong. “The woman tried to lift his head, took his hand so that he would sign, but he didn’t even move,” said an eyewitness.
