Andoni Zubizarreta was appointed this Wednesday as sporting director following the candidacy of Andre Villas-Boas for the Porto elections that will take place on April 27, while Jorge Costa, the former captain of the Blaugrana, will take over the leadership of professional football.

The leadership of this structure has been handed over to former Spain goalkeeper Andoni Zubizarreta, 62, with whom Andre Villas-Boas already worked from 2019 to 2020, when he headed the French club Marseille, the last of seven clubs in which he led for just over a decade as head coach.
