The Government of Navarra remembers the recent salary increase for medical personnel and asks to “lend our shoulder”

The regional Government has questioned the new demands for a salary increase and strike announcement from the Medical Union of Navarra, a year after its salary increase by 400 euros per month and precisely when “it’s time to lend a hand” to reduce waiting lists and improve the Primary Careas well as addressing the improvement of the rest of the Health professionals.

Likewise, it is “absolutely opposed” to any modification of the exclusivity complement that doctors in the public system in Navarra charge for not combining their practice with private consultations, a voluntary adhesion that defends maintaining in order to address with more resources the reduction of waiting lists in public health.

The Minister of Health said it, Fernando Dominguezin a parliamentary appearance in which he explained the situation of the salaries of medical personnel, precisely one day after the announcement of the SMN, which he included in a reflection on the state of public health to warn that “there are times of bonanza and other more complex ones, in which we have to wait” and now it is time to “recover from a crisis and adapt to the means we have.

“The priorities are clear: alleviate waiting lists and improve accessibility in Primary Care and the organization model currently established,” said a counselor with a clear message: “We need the collaboration of all parties”, in a context that demands “solidarity”.
