Russia and China managed to do without the dollar in their trade

Russia and China have managed to do almost 90% of their trade without the dollar, transacting in their national currencies, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Monday.

Lavrov emphasized: “Chinese-Russian trade and economic relations are actively developing, despite persistent attempts by the West to prevent us from moving forward.”

Lavrov drew attention to the fact that after the lifting of measures imposed by Beijing against Covid-19, “there is a sharp increase in trade between Russian regions and Chinese provinces.”
