Brazil wants a “breakthrough” in the project to make Portuguese an official language of the United Nations, the foreign minister said, and the issue will be discussed with his Portuguese counterpart at a meeting this Friday in Lisbon.
The head of Brazilian diplomacy, who traveled to Lisbon to participate this Thursday in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of April 25 on behalf of the Brazilian President Lula da Silva, today, at the end of the Morning, had his first personal meeting with the Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel, with whom he has already met twice spoke on the phone after the Portuguese government took office.
