Prosecutors have asked for pre-trial detention for eight of the 13 Benfica fans arrested this Wednesday following a PSP operation in connection with violence in sports.
The 13 defendants in the case continue to be heard in court this Friday and are linked to crimes more serious than the crimes of the Sporting fans who were released this Thursday, but subject to identification and residence.
The crime that launched Operation PSP was the sexual assault of a young man, then 16 years old, at the Estádio da Luz in April last year.
Apart from this crime, supporters are also responsible for others such as ambushes, robberies, obtaining prohibited images, and others.
As far as the CM was able to find out, only two of the detainees decided to answer questions related to the crimes of which they are suspected.
Enforcement measures should be known this Saturday at 10 am.
The 30 suspects arrested this Wednesday are mostly young and all male, with some from support groups No Name Boys and Juve Leo.
