The Socialist Party of Spain (PSOE) this Saturday condemned the “dirty war” of the right and far right against the country’s Prime Minister and his family, based on disinformation campaigns, and asked Pedro Sánchez not to resign.
“President, stay. Pedro, stay. We are with you. Forward!” said Sánchez’s deputy in the PSOE and in the government, Maria José Montero, at the opening of the meeting of the Federal Party Commission in Madrid, three days. after the Prime Minister announced he was considering resigning and would address the country on Monday about his future.
The Federal Commission meeting is taking place at the PSOE’s national headquarters in Madrid, and thousands of people are also congregating near the building, expressing support for Sánchez, carrying party flags and placards asking him not to resign.
