Former PSD deputy Lina López was removed from the UGT executive secretariat after accepting the position of secretary of Diogo Pacheco Amorim, vice-president of the Assembly of the Republic, appointed by Chega.
Lina López was elected as a member of the last legislative assembly from the PSD, worked in the parliamentary bureau and is a member of the Social Democratic Workers’ Party (TSD). She learned that she was fired through the general secretary of this organization. An email sent to Lina Lopez said that they were “faced with the news” that the leader had “become part of the cabinet” of Diogo Pacheco Amorim, that this was “extremely serious” and that there was an “irreversible break in trust.” Therefore, the TSD proposed a replacement in to the Executive Secretariat of the UGT. “I am not going to do political work,” said CM Lina Lopez. He adds that “it is not Chega” who pays his salary, and the Assembly of the Republic says that she was “surprised by the message of the TSD General Secretary. , communicated to a wide range of people” with the decision to exclude him from the UGT. He emphasizes that he worked in the VGT for more than “ten years” and sent “detailed explanations” on all the charges, the CM tried to contact the VGT and TSD in various ways, but to no avail.
