The Directorate for the Prevention and Combating of Violence in Sports (APCVD) this Monday opened “administrative proceedings” to investigate liability for contempt of court after the end of the futsal match between the youth teams of UD Castromarinense and Farense.
“(…) without prejudice to the procedures already initiated due to the criminal nature of some unlawful acts, the APCVD has initiated administrative proceedings aimed at determining the performance of duties and possible administrative liability of the organizer of the sports spectacle and the traveling club,” he said in a statement from the organization.
We are talking about the sixth round of the Algarve Youth Futsal Cup, which will take place on April 25 in the Municipal Pavilha of Castro Marim, a competition organized by the Algarve Football Association.
The match, which ended in favor of the hosts with a score of 4:1, was accompanied by attacks on the court involving young athletes and spread to team managers, and the Farense coach even had to be treated in hospital.
At the same time, complaints were filed with PSP and GNR regarding incidents that became public knowledge, some of which affected the gaming establishment.
