This Thursday, three men kidnapped a taxi driver who asked him for a ride in the Praça do Comércio square in Lisbon and forced him at gunpoint to go to Amadora. Here he withdrew money from an ATM for thieves and was left without a taxi.
The abduction began shortly after midnight on Thursday. The victim, who filed a complaint with PSP Brandoa, said that the robbers asked to be taken to Rio de Muro, Sintra. The taxi driver claims that thieves threatened him as he drove along Estrada Nacional 117. One of the robbers drove the car to Amadora, where, with a gun drawn, the taxi driver was forced to withdraw 400 euros from an ATM. The company car was stolen and later found abandoned in Merces, Sintra. The judicial police are investigating.
