Leslie Maxwell, a 65-year-old woman, is so famous on social media as a fit grandmother that people confuse her with her 21-year-old granddaughter, even saying they “look like sisters.”
According to New York PostThe Melbourne, Australia-based personal trainer has more than 140,000 followers on Instagram and says she started her fitness journey at age 50 to cope with a divorce.
Leslie says she uses this new version of herself not in terms of sex or romantic relationships, but rather to be healthy and have more self-esteem.
“People always admire a healthy and strong body,” he explained to the agency. Jam Press, quoted New York Post. “It makes us feel sexy, but I don’t do it for men. I want to be strong and more positive about myself,” she says.
According to the same source, Leslie says it’s “never too late” for other women to start being healthier, adding that anyone can change their body at any time.
“People of all ages can change their body, their health, and it only takes one hour a day,” he said. “You can be sexy at any age,” he says.
Granddaughter Tia also says she enjoys playing sports with her grandmother. “She looks amazing and I’ll definitely be living a healthy lifestyle when I’m her age,” she says.
“We mostly do strength training together. I prefer to train my legs and butt, but she likes to train her upper body,” he adds.
Tia also explains that her grandmother associates working out with healthy eating. “Most grandmothers bring cakes to guests, mine brings natural eggs and bakes buckwheat pancakes,” he says.
