15 and a half years in prison for drugging clients in Sintra and Almada

A Sintra court sentenced a 36-year-old man to 15-and-a-half years in prison, while his ex-girlfriend, 39, was given a suspended five-year prison sentence for 11 offenses of theft and five computer frauds. .

The former couple owned several commercial establishments in the municipalities of Sintra and Almada, where they drugged and robbed clients.

According to an online statement from the Department of Justice, the facts relate to the period from September 24, 2021 to February 17, 2023, when they were detained by the PSP. During this period, the duo began by monitoring customers’ bank card codes when making payments.

They then added drugs to their drinks to make them sleepy.

They managed to rob them and used the corresponding bank cards to make withdrawals and payments.
