The CGTU announced this Monday a week of action, struggle and explanation, which will take place from June 20 to 27 in defense of higher wages, shorter working hours and the protection of rights.
This initiative was announced by the secretary general of the trade union center, Thiago Oliveira, at a press conference after a meeting of the executive committee at the union’s headquarters in Lisbon.
Thiago Oliveira said that this week of struggle, the decision of the National Council held last Thursday, will have as its general motto “raising wages, guaranteeing rights, fighting exploitation and inequality”, and that the goal is to collect in these days plenary sessions, podiums, gatherings and strikes in a variety of industries and throughout the country.
