A fire in a ten-story building, which killed one person and injured four others, occurred early Tuesday morning on Pas-e-Amizadeh Street in Belas. The deceased was a 68-year-old man who lived alone at home and was a retired officer from the bomb detection zone. The house is destroyed and uninhabitable.
Among the wounded were three PSP agents who were taken to Amadora Sintra Hospital.
The alarm came at 00:13.
According to morning PostLet us remind you that the fire broke out in a room on the 5th floor of the building, which had to be evacuated.
The fire was declared extinguished at 1:01 am. There were 55 firefighters and 30 PSP personnel on scene. The volunteer firefighters of Belas, the firefighters of Queluz, the firefighters of Agualva-Cacem and INEM were called. PSP and Judicial Police were also present at the scene.
