RTP assesses in ‘detail’ the unauthorized entry of two ADN candidates into its headquarters

According to an internal statement accessed by Lusa this Wednesday, RTP is “assessing in detail” the unauthorized entry into its headquarters by two ADN candidates for the European elections “and will respond in due course in its own cases.”

“Last night [terça-feira]On May 21, RTP experienced an illegal entry into its Lisbon headquarters by two ADN party candidates for the European elections, without any invitation for that date that could justify it,” the board of directors said in an internal statement.

“The RTP records the misuse of non-compliance with internal security procedures, the only way for the aforementioned candidates to gain access to the facilities,” continues the body headed by Nicolau Santos.

The two ADN party candidates “committed illegal acts with the knowledge that they were committing them, which was admitted in video publications they made on social networks” and “RTP is assessing what happened in detail and will respond in its own way in due course.” cases, taking internal and external measures which he considers appropriate.”

The administration emphasizes that “the role of the RTP is to ensure that the activities of state media occur freely, confidently and without incident, guaranteeing the safety of its workers and guests.”
