According to the forecast of the Catholic University for RTP, the PSD won the regional legislatures of Madeira this Sunday with between 33% and 38% of the votes, without an absolute majority.
As a result, the PSD receives between 16 and 21 seats, while the 24 needed to guarantee an absolute majority in parliament, which has a total of 47 seats.
According to the forecast published at 19:00, the PS will receive from 11 to 14 deputies (from 21% to 25%).
The AKP is the third-largest political force with seven to 10 seats (16% to 19%), followed by Cega, which receives three to five seats (8% to 11%).
CDS-PP has one to two MPs (2% to 5%) and IL has one MP (1% to 3%).
The CDU, BU and PAN, which each had one MP, may or may not be able to retain representation in the Regional Legislative Assembly, remaining with zero to one MP (1% to 3%).
In the last legislature, the Legislative Assembly of Madeira consisted of 20 representatives from the PSD, three from the SDS-PP, 11 from the PS, five from the JPP and four from Chegi. The CDU, BE, PAN and IL took one seat each.
According to an estimate by the Center for Research and Public Opinion of the Portuguese Catholic University, published by RTP at 18:30, abstentions should range from 44% to 49%.
