Workers in canteens, cafes, hotels and restaurants are going on strike this Monday to unblock collective contracts in these subsectors.
The Portuguese Federation of Agriculture, Food, Beverage, Hospitality and Tourism Unions (FESAHT) has announced a strike that will last 24 hours.
These workers will also be concentrated in Lisbon, near the headquarters of AHRESP – the Portuguese Association of Hotels, Catering and the like.
“This fight aims to unlock collective bargaining in these three subsectors, which are so important for the protection of workers’ rights,” FESAHT said in a statement about the CGTP.
According to the same note, the concentration will be attended by the Secretary General of the CGTP, Thiago Oliveira, and the coordinator of the Lisbon Trade Union Union, João Coelho.
