This Monday evening, Oliveira do Bairro PNP officers caught a prisoner for not returning after a dangerous departure in April to prison, where he is serving a 17-year prison sentence.
The arrest and subsequent transport to Aveiro prison took place in a restaurant in Oliveira de Bairro. The man, who was with a group of friends, was identified by a security guard. The prisoner also tried to hide his identity, but was unsuccessful.
The man was sentenced to prison for aggravated assault offenses and aggravated theft. After a four-day holiday in April last year, he did not return to prison.
The prisoner, who lived in Gafaña da Nazaré, in Ilhavo, was transferred by the Oliveira do Bairro PNP to the Aveiro prison and then returned to the Alcoentre prison.
