According to information published online by the PF, six preventive arrest warrants and 21 search and arrest warrants are currently being served. Operation Rediscovery, as it was called by the Brazilian courts, arose from information provided by the National Cybercrime Unit of the Portuguese Judicial Police (PJ). The group under investigation created criminal copies of the websites of Portuguese banks and then proceeded to send mass emails to bank customers in our country. So far, the amount taken from victims of the fraud is estimated at approximately 2 million euros.
