A woman and a man, aged 32 and 24 respectively, were arrested by the Judicial Police (JP) on suspicion of drug trafficking.
Authorities said the arrests followed an investigation that began in December 2023 with the arrest in Ponta Delgada in the Azores of a woman in possession of 15 kilograms of hashish and 1 kilogram of cocaine.
“The evidence collected allowed us to identify the supplier of the seized drug in Lisbon and justified the search of her house, during which she was detained along with her partner, since they were found to be in possession of approximately 600 average doses of an individual daily ration. hashish,” PJ said in a statement.
Brought before the judicial authorities of the Azores District, the accused was placed in preventive detention and was required to show his identification and residence permit.
