One person died this Wednesday after being sucked into a plane engine at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam.
At the time of the crash, the Embraer plane was parked at the main airport in the Netherlands.
KLM, the plane’s owner, did not provide further details about the crash, which is currently under investigation. The identity of the victim and whether he is a passenger or an airport employee has not yet been released.
The device, made in Brazil, is powered by KLM Cityhopper, a subsidiary of the Dutch short-haul company.
According to the newspaper Trouw, The plane was heading to the Danish city of Billund, best known for Legoland. According to the airport’s website, the Embraer 190 had flight number KL1341 and was scheduled to depart at 14:25 (one hour less in Lisbon).
