Jose Mourinho has returned to the top of the table of the world’s highest paid coaches. A two-year contract with the Turkish Fenerbahce will bring him 21 million euros at the rate of 10.5 million per year. This amount puts him in fifth place on the list of active technicians with the best salary.
At the top is Spaniard Pep Guardiola, who earns 23.5 million per season at Manchester City. Next, as can be seen from the attached list, are Argentinean Diego Simeone, Englishman Steven Gerrard, Italian Carlo Ancelotti and Mourinho.
There are managers such as Jurgen Klopp (ex-Liverpool), Massimiliano Allegri (ex-Juventus), Thomas Tuchel (ex-Bayern) or Mauricio Pochettino (ex-Chelsea) who earned more last year than Mourinho will earn. But at the moment they are without a club.
At Fenerbahce, Jose Mourinho will still have 60 million to invest in acquisitions.
