Flight attendant Esther shared her tip for making hotel rooms safer. He says that after checking into a hotel, he throws a bottle of water under the bed to check if anyone is hiding in the room, and promotes Mirror.
“If guests throw a bottle under the bed and it doesn’t come out the other side, that means someone might be hiding,” he explains.
Another person also gives advice on how to stay safe in hotel rooms at night. Nassim, a flight attendant, explains that he always places his suitcase in front of the room’s front door so he can spot if anyone tries to enter the room.
The flight attendant also says that in addition to this trick, he always inspects the room when he returns to the hotel to make sure that no one is hiding.
The Commissioner has already told Mirror an incident involving a crewmate who was attacked in her hotel room by someone hiding in a closet because she was “not exercising proper supervision.”
After the incident, the flight attendant explains that “every time he arrived at the hotel room, he used his suitcase to hold the hotel door open, went in and checked everything.”
