This Friday, two sisters from Braga, detained by the judicial police on suspicion of supplying a drug network operating on the territory of the Braga prison and run by their husbands, will appear before a judge. Two sisters, aged 24 and 27, made thousands of euros by selling the drug product, which they sent to prison in a disguised manner, often hidden inside their own bodies.
There are also suspicions that the two women arrested on Wednesday in an area of the city of Braga were throwing drugs and other goods associated with illicit trafficking and consumption onto the EP playground.
It was the MEP who reported the suspicions to the Braga PS, which launched an investigation which, as the SP said in a statement, “ended with arrests and the confiscation of large sums of money and other items.”
During the investigation, the SP adds, “evidence was collected that at different and consecutive moments during visits to their comrades, two detainees, in contact with them and secretly, delivered substances.
In other cases, they even threw significant quantities of drugs and other items from outside into the inmate recreation area with the goal of smuggling them inside the facility.”
