If on the first day rock was king, then on the second day pop was the empress. This Sunday – the day when the British Ed Sheeran ended the night at Palco Mundo, in front of many thousands of fans who had especially come to see him – Lisbon’s Tagus Park was again filled with people and, like what happened on the day of the start, all tickets the venue sold out, bringing the festival to an additional 80,000 people to the 80,000 on Saturday.
Fernando Daniel opened for Rock at the party on Sunday in Rio Lisbon, and he had a special guest: Lucas Forchhammer, lead singer of Lukas Graham (of “7 Year” fame), took to the stage to sing the Portuguese artist’s “Casa”. And an added bonus: he read the lyrics to the song on his cell phone. The bill also featured performances from Calum Scott, Carolina de Deus and Captain Fausto, but it was Ed Sheeran that most people were sighing for. There will be more music next weekend.
