A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of trying to kill another man with a knife in a Porto nightspot in December 2023, the Judicial Police (PJ) said on Wednesday.
In a statement, the SP explained that the suspect was detained on Tuesday in Vila Nova de Gaia, Porto district, after “frequently changing his location to avoid arrest.”
According to the police, the suspect got into an argument with the victim over a needless reason and attacked him with a sharp weapon.
The victim “his life was in danger” and survived only thanks to the medical care provided to him, the joint venture emphasized.
According to him, the man suspected of attempted murder and possession of a prohibited weapon already has convictions for drug trafficking and driving without a license.
Now the detainee will have to undergo the first judicial interrogation.
