A nursing home in Melides, municipality of Grandola, was robbed

The house where the 81-year-old man lives in Melides, in the municipality of Grandola (Setúbal), was robbed this Thursday morning, with money and several gold coins stolen, a PNP source told Lusa.

The same source said two suspects went to an elderly man’s house with a “story of exchanging expired bills” and placed the product on the man’s face, leaving him “bewildered.”

The suspects entered the house and stole about 150 euros in cash and several gold coins, a security source said.

“The victim did not require hospital treatment,” he added.

The suspects “fled in a van,” according to GNR.

The National Republican Guard (NRG) is investigating the robbery.
