This Friday, Parliament, in a final global vote, approved the PS proposal to abolish tolls on the former SCUT and sections “where there are no alternative routes that ensure quality and safe use.”
The final text presented by the Committee on Economy, Public Works and Housing, based on a socialist proposal, was approved by the votes of PS, Chega, BE, PCP, Livre and PAN, with IL abstaining and PSD against. and SDS-PP.
The purpose of this proposal, which comes into force on January 1, 2025, is to stop charging tolls on the A4 – Transmontana and Tunnel do Maran, A13 and A13-1 – Pinhal Interior, A22 – Algarve, A23 – Beira Interior, A24 – Inland Norte, A25 – Beiras Litoral and Alta and A28 – Minho in the sections between Esposende and Antas and between Neiva and Darke.
