Renowned National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) driver John Force was reportedly rushed to hospital after his car’s engine exploded during a race in Virginia, US. Fox News.

John Force, 75, has been an NHRA champion 16 times as a driver and 22 times as a team owner. Between 1993 and 2002 he won ten consecutive titles as a driver. In the 156th race of his career, held in April of this year, the driver won again.
“I’m just facing reality. Time is running out and I’m trying to hold on,” Force said of his career, as quoted by Fox News.
