The 2nd year student arrived in his third year and continued to behave aggressively towards his classmates at the Escola Básica de Vila Chã de Sá in Viseu. On Friday, the student’s mother was called to the school to try to resolve the situation, but ended up attacking the teacher and a staff member. GNR representatives attended the scene and took responsibility for the incident.
Fed up with the situation, parents and students decided to lock down the school this Monday, where posters against violence and in favor of education were posted. “The child has shown aggressive behavior, but the example must come from home, and if the mother comes to school to do what she did, it is because she is not setting a good example,” said the person in charge of education, waiting to know if she had a daughter, would I attend classes.
PNP officials returning to the scene called the Sapadores firefighters, who cut the locks. The student did not go to class. Dinis Saraiva, director of the school group Infante Dom Henrique, says that “the child is under medical supervision and the supervision of the Commission for the Protection of Children and Youth.”
