The Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation (MECI) has once again extended the registration deadline for grades 6 to 9 and 11 on the Registration Portal, now until next Monday, following new complaints from families who were unable to register.
The original deadline of June 28 has already been extended until tomorrow, July 5.
According to MECI, as of 4pm, there had been 87,073 registrations or extensions. However, there were “communication failures by the Institute of Financial Management of Education (IGeFE) in the instructions to schools to upload proposals for special artistic education,” which justifies the extension of the deadline to Monday.
This expansion will allow “students in specialized arts schools and their families more time to seamlessly register.”
To date, 2,314 of these students have been registered. MECI ensures that the latest failures of the Registration Portal “are not related to OutSystems and Babel, which collaborate with IGeFE.”
