With the number of candidates for Diogo Costa increasing due to his good performances at Euro 2024, Porto already have two recommended goalkeepers: Rui Silva (Betis) and Bento (Atletico Paranaense).
With the Portuguese international goalkeeper shining in Germany, Porto’s management is worried that the player could be attacked by a shark. So they have issued warnings to Rui Silva, a Portuguese player who plays for Betis of Seville, and to Brazilian Bento, who has already been appointed to Benfica and is playing in the Copa America for Brazil.
Due to the financial difficulties that the Dragons are experiencing, Andre Villas-Boas is forced to sell the team to cover expenses and finance reinforcements for the new season. Diogo Costa is the main asset and the one who can earn 75 million euros under the clause to terminate the contract. There are other desirable players such as Francisco Conceicao or the Brazilians Evanilson and Pepe, but the values presented are not enough to solve the financial problem.
Rui Silva is in a good position and could cost around 5 million euros. Bento is asking more than 12 million euros.
