A 48-year-old man suffered a leg injury this Monday and is in hospital in Viseu after being shot with a small-caliber weapon at the weekly fair in Tondela, GNR reported.
A National Republican Guard (GNR) source told Lusa that shortly after 7am today, GNR officials were called to the weekly fair in Tondela, in the Viseu district, because one of the traders had shot and killed another trader.
It was from a “small caliber weapon, 6.35 caliber, and the 48-year-old man was shot in the leg.”
“He is in hospital in Viseu and his life is not in danger. The case has been transferred to the Judicial Police (PJ), explained a source in the PNP.
According to the Viseu-Dau-Lafoes Sub-Regional Civil Protection Command, the alarm was raised at 7:21 a.m. and four responders were on scene, supported by two PNR vehicles and Tondela volunteer firefighters.
