The thirst for Giokeres is growing every day. And the last people interested in the Sporting striker are the Milan fans.
The Italian side, where Rafael Leão plays, presented Paulo Fonseca as coach on Monday (more on page 27) in the presence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Milan consultant took the opportunity to review the situation regarding the signing of a new striker.
With Giroud leaving for Los Angeles (USA), Milan need a striker. The club reached an agreement with Dutchman Zirkzee and is ready to pay Bologna a release clause of 40 million euros. But on Monday, Ibrahimovic confirmed that the deal had fallen through.
As alternatives, the Italian press points to Belgian Lukaku (who returned to Chelsea after a season on loan at Roma) and Spaniard Morata (Atl. Madrid). On social media, Milan fans noted that Swedish Gjokeres was the right option. And that Ibra could encourage his compatriot to convince Sporting to lower the 100 million buyout clause.
